The City of Wallis will be accepting sealed bids on the following vehicle: a 1998 four (4) door Cadillac Deville, 32 V North Star V-8 engine, mileage 94,706, condition, body and interior is clean. Bids will be accepted until 12 noon, Thursday, November 13, 2008. The city is requesting a minimum bid of $5,000.00. Please turn in sealed bids at Wallis City Hall, 114 S. 3rd Street, Wallis, Texas. The City of Wallis reserves the right to accept or to reject any and all bids. The successful bid shall be paid in full by noon Friday, November 21, 2008. You may call Wallis City Hall at 979-478-6712 to make arrangements to see vehicle.

A 0.344-acre tract in the Milburn & Davis League, Abstract 71, in Austin County, Texas, being the same property described in a deed from Adolf Hranicky, et ux. to Houston Lighting & Power Company, dated July 28, 1925, and recorded in Volume 67, Page 135 of the Deed Records of Austin County, Texas, the location of which is shown on Map No. 14-L-22D, attached hereto and made a part hereof.

The Austin County Appraisal District is requesting bids from qualified vendors for Digital Oblique Aerial Photography and software. ACAD will use digital oblique aerial photography for a variety of planning and GIS purposes and desires photography for the entirety of Austin County, Texas.

1. Brazos ISD ofrece programas vocacionales en Agricultura, Negocios, Tecnología Aplicada y Tecnología Industrial. La admisión a estos programas se basa en cumplir las clases requeridas y completar el proseso de registracion.

2. Es norma de Brazos ISD no discriminar por motivos de raza, color, origen nacional, sexo o impedimento, en sus programas, servicios o actividades vocacionales, tal como lo requieren el Título VI de la Ley de Derechos Civiles de 1964, según enmienda; el Título IX de las Enmiendas en la Educación, de 1972, y la Sección 504 de la Ley de Rehabilitación de 1973, según enmienda.

3. Public Notification of Nondiscrimination in Career and Technical Education (Vocational) Programs

BRAZOS ISD offers career and technical education programs in agriculture, business, technology applications, and industrial technology. Admission to these programs is based on successful completion of prerequisite classes and completion of registration procedures.

It is the policy of BRAZOS ISD not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex or handicap in its vocational programs, services or activities as required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended; Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972; and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended.

ESD Meeting

The Austin County Emergency Service District #3 will hold a meeting at 7:30 p.m. on September 19, 2008 at 19 Birch Street, Wallis Texas, to consider adopting a proposed tax rate for tax year 2008. The proposed tax rate is .06 per $100 of value. The proposed tax rate would increase total taxes in Austin County Emergency Service District #3 by 118.97%.
