Jerome and Adell Supak of Simonton are happy to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter Laramie Christine to James Derrick Page. Derrick is the son of Doug and Cathey Page of Groveton.
Laramie is a 2006 graduate of Foster High School and a 2009 graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting.
She is currently employed as a Staff Accountant with Wallis State Bank in Houston. Derrick is a 2006 graduate of Groveton High School and a 2010 graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Science.
He is employed as a Sales Consultant with Shoppas Farm Supply in Edna. The couple will exchange vows on May 14, 20ll in Beasley at the home of the late Wilburn and Marie Grunwald, maternal grandparents of the bride.a
Peyton Renee Sliva

Florian and Venessa Sliva III are proud to announce the birth of their second child, Peyton Renee Sliva. Peyton was born at 6:23 a.m. on March 10, at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital. She weighed 7 lb. 8 oz. and was 18.5 inches long. Peyton was welcomed home by her older brother Logan.
Her grandparents are Florian Jr. and Liz Sliva of Wallis, Dennis Vykukal of Wallis and Kandace Kylee of Valley Lodge. Living great-grandparents are Bernice Sliva of Orchard and LaVan Feldoff of Beasley. Watching over our little angel in heaven are late great-grandparents Frank and Gloria Mikes of Wallis, Joe and Sydonia Vykukal of Wallis, Florian Sliva Sr. of Orchard, Rudolph Engelhardt of Beasley and Ernest Feldoff of Beasley.
Gamble, Horton to exchange vows

Hub and Jo Gamble of Wallis are pleased to announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter Leslie Ann to Robert Anthony Horton of Cypress. The couple will exchange vows on April 30, 2011 at the First Wallis Baptist Church. Leslie is a 2001 graduate from Brazos High School and received her Associate of Arts from Blinn College in Brenham. She is currently employed as a Strategic Sourcing Analyst for Baker Hughes in Houston and attends the University of Houston Downtown. Robert attended Cy Falls High School in Cypress and received his Associate of Science in Legal Studies from Lone Star College. Robert works as a reserve police officer and owns a civil process company. The couple will make their home in Cypress.

Justin and Desiree (Anderson) Phillips of Katy are proud to announce the birth of their second child, Fiona Rose Phillips. Fiona was born at 4:48 p.m. on Jan. 10, 2011 at Memorial City Memorial Hermann Hospital. She weighed 5 lbs. 10 oz. and measured 18-1/2 inches long. Fiona was welcomed home with love by big brother Rocco.
Justin and Desiree were 2003 Brazos High School graduates. Justin is employed at WorleyParsons in Houston.

Ty Zurek Szymanski was born at 2:59 p.m. on Nov. 15, 2010 at Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, La. He weighed 6 lbs. 4.2 oz. and measured 20 inches. He is the son of Jonathon and Lisa Szymanski of Baton Rouge. He is the grandson of Jodie Szymanski of Eagle Lake, Jeraldine Szymanski of Wallis and Herbert and Rosie Wendel of Bay City.
Ty’s great-grandparents are Joe and the late Lillian Szymanski of East Bernard and the late Julius and Lucille Zurek of Wallis.

She is the great-granddaughter of Ann and Alvin Marek of Wallis, Aileen and Irvin Chumchal of Wharton, Louise Martin of Pasadena and Ideline Leger Deshotels of Jennings, La.
Ella Ray O’Connor

Chris and Veronica O’Connor are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Ella Ray O’Connor born Aug. 14 in Bay Area Memorial Center-Coastal Bend Women’s Center; Corpus Christi. She weighed 5 lbs. and 17-3/4 inches long. Ella was three weeks early but is doing great. Ella was welcomed home by her 4-year-old brother, Keegan and Jax the family’s black lab.
Chris is presently enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard, Petty Officer Second Class Machinery Technician and Roni is presently working for Farmer’s Insurance Group in Portland. The O’Connors are living in Portland; Chris is stationed in Port Aransas.
Her grandparents are Joey and Denise Minks of Orchard and Terrie and Sam Ford and Donald O’Connor. Great-grandparents are Lorene Liska of Orchard, Joe and Rosalee Minks of Wallis, Pat Walker and Hazel O’Connor.
Uhyrek, Cooper to wed

The parents of Lauren Rochelle Uhyrek and Daniel Wayne Cooper are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
Lauren is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard A. Uhyrek of Meadows Place. She is a 2004 graduate of Dulles High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Houston Downtown, with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. While at UHD, she was a member of Alpha Phi Sigma. Lauren is employed for the Harris County Sheriff’s Office as a detention officer.
Daniel is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Layne Christian of Crosby and Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Cooper of Humble. He is a 1998 graduate of Crosby High School, a 2002 graduate of San Jacinto College North with an associates degree in Social Science and a 2008 graduate of the University of Houston Downtown with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Daniel is a police office for the Humble ISD Police Department.
Both Lauren and Daniel are 2010 graduates of the UHD Police Academy. The couple is planning a January wedding in Wallis after which they will make their home in Humble
Lauren is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Mazurkiewicz, formerly of Wallis who now reside in Brenham and the great-granddaughter of the late Emil and Agnes Polasek of East Bernard.

Michael is the grandson of Dorothy and the late James Griffin of Brookshire and the late Alvina and Marvin Crawford of Sealy and the late A.R. and Mary Klatt of Industry. Laura is a 2006 graduate of Texas A&M University and is currently employed with Clinical Pathology Laboratories in Houston. Michael is a 2002 graduate of Texas A&M University and is employed with Optimized Process Designs Inc. in Katy. The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, Dec. 11 at 6 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sealy.
