Dennis Korenek

Funeral Services for Dennis Korenek, 80, of Wallis at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the Guardian Angel Catholic Church, 2610 Demel, Wallis, Texas with Rev. Thuy Quang Nguyen celebrating the Funeral Mass and Rite of Committal. Interment in the Wallis City Cemetery.
Dennis Korenek went to be with the Lord on March 6, 2010. Dennis was born on Sept. 8, 1929 in Nelsonville Texas to Ladgie and Lillie Korenek. He graduated from Wallis High School and began working for Koy Concrete and then moving on to be a machinist for WKM and Cameron Iron Works.
On Oct. 6, 1957 Dennis married Dorothy Pavliska. He became the father of three sons, Kenneth, Gary and Mike. He was a member of the Guardian Angel Catholic Church, KJT, SPJST, Knights of Columbus and the American Legion in Wallis. He also served his country in the Korean War and was an Honorary member of the Wallis Fire Department.

Elizabeth L. Taylor

A Funeral Mass for Elizabeth L. Taylor, 94 of Victoria, was held on Monday, March 1 at Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Monsignor Dan Scheel of St. Jerome’s Catholic Church in Houston officiating. Burial followed at Lakeside Cemetery in Eagle Lake.
Pallbearers were Hampton Burwick Jr., Lee Sills, Chad Sills, Christopher Sills, Larry Hensley, and Walter Taylor. Honorary pallbearer will be Hamp Burwick Sr.

Frances Wilson

Funeral services for Frances Wilson, 97, of Orchard were held Saturday, Feb. 6 at Knesek and Sons Funeral Home in Wallis with Rev. Mr. Jerome Losak officiating.
Frances was born on Oct. 23, 1912 in Gonzales to parents Frank and Olivia Malatek, the second of six chilcdre. She had three sisters and two brothers, who pre-deceased her.

Adam Patrick Collins

Funeral services for Adam Patrick Collins, 22, of Wallis were held on Saturday, Feb. 13 from Knesek and Sons Funeral Home in Wallis.
Adam was born on April 15, 1987 in Houston. He was raised in Wallis and graduated from Brazos High School, class of 2005. Adam loved to walk and he was a big gamer. Adam Patrick Collins passed away, Feb. 7, 2010.

Funeral services for Martina (Tina) Adams, 88, of Wallis were held Monday, Feb. 15, 2010 at Knesek and Sons Funeral Home in Wallis. Interment was in the Wallis City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Wayde Witek, Michael Witek, Jeffrey Klimple, Curtis Klimple, Sully Sullivan and Lester Howard. Honorary pallbearer was Paul Smith.

Katherine Louise Reich

Funeral services for Katherine Louise Reich, 80, was held Feb. 3 at St. Anne Roman Catholic Church in Regina, Saskatchewan with Rev. John Weckend officiating. Interment was in Regina Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Katherine passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010 in regina, SK.

Syble S. Miller, 67, of Wallis passed away Dec. 19, 2009.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years John T. Miller, Sr.; son John T. Miller Jr. and wife Melanie; daughter Debbie Heckmann and husband Louis; grandchildren Thomas and Elizabeth Miller, Anna, Heather, Louis, Jr. and Kaley Heckmann, and great-grandson Kade Vasquez.

A funeral service for Cecilia Marie Tauriello, 89, was held on Dec. 21 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Houston. A rosary with friends and family was held on Dec. 20 at Woodlawn Funeral Home. Following the funeral, interment was in Woodlawn Garden of Memories.
