Gloria Stringer is finally home.
Her unidentified remains had lain in the Wallis Cemetery for 37 years. Her memory had remained those 37 years with her family in Tennessee. Her case had remained open with Austin County Justice of the Peace Pct. 4 Dennis King for those 37 years.
Members of Gloria’s family, Judge King and others involved in the case met in Wallis last week to make arrangements to transport Stringer’s remains back to Tennessee for burial in a family plot in Brock Cemetery in Weakley County.

Thursday, May 3 will go down as one of the most incredible days I have ever spent.
I heard about the unidentified woman’s case written about on Page 1 of this issue for the first time in October 2010.
The case was very old (1975), but the excitement registered on Judge Dennis King’s face that day in 2010 was contagious. He had just received an image of a facial reconstruction of the unidentified woman done by Texas Ranger Forensic Artist Suzanne Birdwell.
“That’s her face,” said King. “We finally know what she looked like.”

Running and playing with friends and cousins, doing homework, playing with games and toys, watching movies and a love of horses. All that suddenly changed this past December.
Lindsey began throwing up and having severe headaches. After seeing her pediatrician, she was referred to an eye doctor. Her eyes were not focusing together so he thought getting glasses would help her problems. But even after glasses the vomiting and headaches still continued. On Jan. 17, Lindsey was seen by a different pediatrician.

Sealy Police Officers detain illegal immigrants following a vehicle pursuit and motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 36 and I-10 in Sealy.

On Saturday, March 3, at approximately 10 a.m. Sealy Police Officer Chad Matura located a suspicious vehicle, a white Ford Explorer, traveling east bound on I-10 that had been reported by an off-duty officer working traffic control at the race track on the I-10 frontage road at Old Columbus Road.
The vehicle first exited at the 718 east bound ramp, but ran the stop sign at FM 3538 and reentered I-10 eastbound. Officer Matura turned on his emergency equipment including siren at that time, but the vehicle continued on and exited the 720 exit and approached the intersection of Hwy 36. The vehicle attempted to turn south on Hwy. 36, but was going too fast and collided with another vehicle waiting to turn onto the I-10 ramp.
