		<description><![CDATA[<p>Brazos Cougarettes won the semi-final game against Centerville at the State volleyball match won in five games on Thursday, Nov. 20 at the Strahan Coliseum in San Marcos.<br />
Brazos won the first two and then Centerville came back and won the second two games. Brazos won the last game 21-19. They will play the winner of the match between Bushland and Pottsboro Saturday, Nov. 22 at 11 a.m. <br />

<p>Eleven Cougar seniors finished the 2008 football season and their high school football careers against Rice Consolidated on Nov. 7. A move this season to one of the toughest 2A football districts in the state and numerous injuries throughout the season led to these seniors not reaching the playoffs for the first time since they started high school. <br />
According to Coach Keith Novicke, this group provided solid leadership for the team and played hard all season long.</p>

In the Boys Division, Wall was the champion with 49 points and East Bernard finished third as a team with 112 points.</p>

Rice Consolidated was the undefeated District Champion. The Raiders ran over Salado in Division I by the score of 31-7. Quarterback Myles Dumont passed for 187 yards, three touchdowns and ran for another score. Rice will play Navarro in the second round on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 1 p.m. The game will be at Matador Stadium in Seguin.</p>

The Schlumberger Cycling Club partnered with the ConocoPhillips Cycling Club and the Chevron Cycling Club in support of wounded veterans. This year the Wallis KC sold barbecue sandwiches while Nashville recording artist Stephen Cochran entertained and the riders arrived back at the hall.
