By the time most of you are reading this article on Thursday, I will be heading to the State Volleyball Tournament in San Marcos to cover the great Cougarette team. That’s a total of seven state meets with a real opportunity to win something big.
So far we have had individual state champions in track, a team championship last year in Boys Cross Country and multiple finishes in the top three. Almost every body that qualifies for a state meet is already a regional champion.

The Brazos Cougarettes celebrate the winning point over Salado that sends them back to the State Volleyball Tournament for the first time since their last State title in 2003.
In a period of five days, the Brazos Cougarettes faced three state-ranked top ten teams. Cougarettes slam through the door to State
Posted on November 20th, 2008

The Brazos Cougarette volleyball team has been a little less than consistent through this season. When the playoffs came around, they found a rhythm and have been a very good team for the last two weeks.
